Retinol peel – radiance, texture & skin renewal
The retinol peel is a gentle but effective medical peel, designed to stimulate epidermal cell renewal and activate collagen production in the dermis. It evens the complexion, reduces pigment spots, reduces the appearance of pores, smooths irregularities and restores a real glow to the skin. This treatment also improves skin tone and firmness, while preventing premature ageing.

How does the session unfold?
The practitioner applies the peel evenly with a brush, on the face, neck and possibly the décolleté. Several passes may be needed for an optimal action. A slight warming sensation may appear during application, but it is generally well tolerated.
When are results seen?
The first effects appear after 3 to 4 weeks, the time needed for cell renewal. For an optimal result, a second session 6 to 8 weeks later is recommended.
Precautions before the session
Certain skin treatments must be stopped 2 weeks before the peel:
- creams or serums containing vitamin A (retinol, tretinoin),
- benzoyl peroxide treatments,
- potentially irritating skincare.
On the day of treatment, the skin must be clean, without make-up and without moisturiser or sunscreen.
Precautions after the session
- The product must be rinsed off 8 hours after application (4 hours for sensitive skin).
- Mild to moderate peeling generally appears between day 3 and day 7.
- A repairing moisturiser must be applied several times a day.
- Daily SPF 50+ sun protection is essential.
- No social downtime is needed: the retinol peel allows you to continue activities without interruption.
Possible side effects
They are rare and temporary:
- occasional pigment disorders,
- allergic reaction to the product (exceptional).
Contraindications
The retinol peel must not be performed in cases of:
- recent use of vitamin A derivatives (Roaccutane®),
- known allergy to one of the peel’s components,
- dermabrasion or laser treatment in the previous 2 months,
- active skin infection (herpes, impetigo…),
- pregnancy or breastfeeding.
